*First, make sure to check those sprinklers. They need to be completely off and blown out for the first freeze.
*Second, check all the insulation around exposed pipes to make sure it does not need replacing.
*Third, disconnect all hoses from the outside faucet and make sure they are empty of water.
Other items to watch through the fall include rain gutters, window wells, and down spouts. Clean out all your gutters and down spouts throughout the fall to make sure they are not clogged. Watch window wells during rains to make sure they are draining correctly and do not fill with water.
